    Delete Delete
To take back and strip back eight songs from the She Makes War back catalogue is a brave thing to do - but here she has managed to create fresh and in some cases more definitive versions of the songs.

The key change and darker feel of "Delete" certainly gives it that sense of definitive, and taking out the full band for the likes of "Undone" and "Drown Me Out" makes for a different listen too.

Needless to say, I await with interest to see what happens next post-SMW!

  18. Devastate Me
    by She Makes War
Having heard She Makes War perform this live late last year, it was already becoming a favourite track prior to this single release, and I'm pleased to say it's just as edgy recorded on this single as it is live. Nice feel all round, especially the downward spiral of guitars as it builds to its final chorus and flourish.
  19. Do you really want to hurt me
    by She Makes War
Two killer tracks from the excellent She Makes War - easily a double A side. The cover of Do You Really Want To Hurt Me? works well and carries the emotion of the original well, and I Want My Country Back was my song of 2017 - it's a resonating anthem. Buy, listen, enjoy.
