    Matches Matches
I select Matches as my favorite song because it literally makes me scream along. I've had this album on repeat for months. The Northern has this loving and vivid image that punches you in the face and pulls you into their emotionally laden story. These all feel like songs I've literally lived in my life and I know them all intimately. Solstice is an amazing piece of my inner reality and I need more of The Northern. Melodic, great synth, well written lyrics, brutal and addictively groovy.

    Martyr (Waves) Martyr (Waves)
The relevance of Polaris's work to my life is uncanny. This album is no exception. Martyr (Waves) came to me mid-divorce and I needed the catharsis. As I said on their last album: I'm a fan for life. The energy and emotional tone feeds me and I have listened to their albums on repeat since I discovered them. Excellent work.

    Reinventions Reinventions
This album is everything I love about djent: An excellent blend of mellow and hard while passionately played and expertly composed. The virtuoso solos speak to my soul, having followed Petrucci for over two decades. I want MOAR. lol
