Jakey has a particular strength in striking deep down inside with extremely raw feelings. Even without added context he vividly conveys imagery, thoughts, and emotion so well that I could be filming it from the passenger seat. As his first album release ROMCOM takes this a step further by being a whole and fully realized thought, especially potent if you know even a little bit about him and the time, blood, sweat, and certainly tears that went into production here.

With a lot of the same sounds that I fell in love with in Dustforce, Immerse doesn't disappoint- but that doesn't mean it falls into the slump of "the other stuff was good, and this is the same, so this is good too."
Immerse moves forward in its own direction and it's a lot like meeting up with old friends to go on a new adventure, the familiarity contrasts the newness very well and I just can't wait to see where we go next.
