  7. Them Is Us
    by Rival Consoles
"Tell Rival Consoles and the world why you love this record." Rival Consoles: world: I love this record because I love him and everything he touches. Who knew a thing made by human hands could penetrate my heart.....without my consent. But I welcome this kind of musical intimacy, for it is rare and fleeting.
  8. Machinarium Soundtrack
    by Tomáš Dvořák
His production skills are perfection, the moods are exquisitely clear and the instrumentation is unique. The purchase on Bandcamp that has lasted longest on my iPod.

    Good Girl Good Girl
I heard the string melody after "We love our good girl" followed by the line "Great minds think too much" clearing out for that beautiful wilting bass line! click click and the album was mine without hesitation. Some familiar compositional brilliances together form a form from their parts that is more than the sum of its parts but I don't want to take part in comparison though those parts are part and parcel but still can't do this album justice. They are just Bent Knee and I am f****** in love.

Now That It's Over Now That It's Over
I was in a band in high school who opened for them in Riverside (after I quit, sadly), but I’ve never forgotten this album. Incredible arrangements, vocals, chops—their chord progressions alone are to die for. One of the most talented groups I know of. For their age especially and this album being their debut, nothing comes close.
