you have to go to college you have to go to college
I never would have thought that a first album could sound as good as this. I still hear this album echo through many of their future efforts.

    act suspicious act suspicious
Another progression that lays the foundation for the wonderful forte of sound we know and love. Great lo-fi and exciting music. I can't get enough!

    no starving no starving
Truly the first Car Seat Headrest album to show the band could stand on its own and deliver a unique sound with subtle ideas and meaningful deep lyrics. Breathtaking.

    around around
It's inspiring to hear the early efforts by this truly talented band, who's music has made me realise that music is something I want to be a part of. Amazing album to follow on from 3, and is again, one of the first to show the band flesh out and develop a unique sound
  7. Little Pieces Of Paper With "No" Written On Them
    by Car Seat Headrest
I scream social I scream social
This album contains songs that either didn't meet Will Toledo's high expectations or prospects. Despite what Will may say through the bio of most songs, this is a stellar album. I appreciate Will just letting his brain leak onto an album through songs he wouldn't otherwise have released. I would love another album full of songs that "didn't meet the mark" sometime in the future.
  8. My Back Is Killing Me Baby
    by Car Seat Headrest
    no passion no passion
Truthfully my least favourite album. Not that the song writing is bad. It just feels like each song wasn't developed enough or doesn't hold up in the recording department, more specifically, they lack the quality and detail found on many of their past albums. Many songs scream to be re-recorded. Most of the tracks on this album appear on Teens of Style and are greatly improved.
  9. Twin Fantasy
    by Car Seat Headrest
    Bodys Bodys
Through this album, Car Seat Headrest comes into their own. I can really hear the passion and drive to make music through this album. Such AMAZING lyrics, I can feel something electric through this music. I truly don't understand how anyone can compare this to any other sound. I don't know how to describe this, I am speechless.
  10. Starving While Living
    by Car Seat Headrest
Reuse The Cels Reuse The Cels
A short little album that truly surprised me. I think that many of these songs are underrated and go unappreciated, I don't hear these tracks talked as much as Times To Die or The Ending of Dramamine. And I feel sort of proud that I can hold this album in such high regard, each track is unique and catchy.
  11. Nervous Young Man
    by Car Seat Headrest
The Gun Song The Gun Song
This is a fountain of emotion, intelligence, thought and self analysis. 20 songs that beautifully detail the heartbreak and worry that Toledo feels from society and life. Channeling all these emotions into an almost 2 hour epic, some really nice and somber tracks on here that break up the track listing nicely.
  12. How To Leave Town
    by Car Seat Headrest
Beast Monster Thing (Love Isn't Love Enough) Beast Monster Thing (Love Isn't Love Enough)
This is an album that pushes me to extreme emotion. So much so that at many points in the album I couldn't believe what I was hearing. I can hear Will Toledo screaming and tearing at this soul through each song. I am incredibly envious and amazed at how honest and self aware this album is. It is the pinnacle of expression. I can only dream of creating something as real and brutally honest as this. Each sound makes me feel something I've never felt before. It's so musically brilliant, so real.
  13. Teens Of Style
    by Car Seat Headrest
Times to Die Times to Die
The first studio album by Car Seat Headrest. This album is riding off of the heels of Will Toledo's last musical efforts, with its low-fi fuzzy and hazy instrumentals. But new band members and inspirations let this album stand out and give a detailed perspective on Will's perception of life that I absolutely adore.
  14. Teens Of Denial
    by Car Seat Headrest
Drunk Drivers/Killer Whales Drunk Drivers/Killer Whales
A stunningly honest and deep musical insight into the mind of Will Toledo. With instrumentals and lyrics that go from soft, melancholy and reflective, to explosive and passionately, forgetfully crazy. Car Seat Headrest gives us a less low-fi album then the bands previous releases, and solidifies their place as one of my favourite up and coming indie bands.
  15. America

A mini effort by Car Seat Headrest for the album "The Quad Dub" in which Car Seat Headrest performs alongside Wicketkeeper, Brunch and Hyperturf.

Sleeping With Strangers Sleeping With Strangers
From this album come a lot of unique sounds that we haven't heard from this band before. My opinion on this album has changed a lot overtime but now I think I can safely say that it is a contender for my absolute favourite album.
