    I first heard this in concert years ago and have listened to the original CD many times when I needed to hear a viol. The selections are deftly arranged and played most agreeably. The new version is even better, more present.

    I can't really pick a favorite, but the sound of the whole CD is exceptional, and it brings home to us that music by all manner of composers was *everywhere*, and the ones that survived 19th Century biases, while great, are just the tip of the iceberg, All of this music is very friendly and accessible.
