    I was introduced to Mickey Newbury by The Midnight Special on WFMT Chicago when the double album Live at Montezuma Hall/Looks Like Rain came out. Gretchen Peters has captured the essence of Mickey Newbury even though some of my favorite Newbury songs were, of necessity, not included in this collection.
