    Brooklands (2023) Brooklands (2023)
Big Big Train have never disappointed me since I became a Passenger. Unlike Mr. Spawton, I Ioved the Folklore version of Brooklands very much indeed. Yet this version is superb and was well worth waiting doing. The late David Longdon's vocals sound as fresh to me as ever and the wonderful Alberto Bravin and the latest lineup are more than worthy of their places in the band. Long may they ride!

Absolutely wonderful, neglected gem. Donna Summer on backing vocals. Unfortunately there is a skip on this rip.

    Frankincense Frankincense
Carly Bryant brought so much to Big Big Train (soul, blues, imagination) that it was a forgone conclusion that I would explore her solo work.
This album lands somewhere in the middle of her recording career. An excellent set of songs recorded in 12 days time, fairly bursting with moodiness. She is a clever lyricist & strong player. Her band rings, buzzes, thumps & rocks. Her singing voice is distinctive & rich. Her NEW solo album is in the works & will be released on the English Electric label!
