Carly Bryant brought so much to Big Big Train (soul, blues, imagination) that it was a forgone conclusion that I would explore her solo work.
This album lands somewhere in the middle of her recording career. An excellent set of songs recorded in 12 days time, fairly bursting with moodiness. She is a clever lyricist & strong player. Her band rings, buzzes, thumps & rocks. Her singing voice is distinctive & rich. Her NEW solo album is in the works & will be released on the English Electric label!
