Dead Already (Save Yourself) Dead Already (Save Yourself)
The way this album just left me for dead... This is such a smart , honest pop record. Bravo, maestro, bravo.
  10. Health
    by C Duncan
Stuck Here With You Stuck Here With You
Every so often, I hear an album that shakes me to my core. HEALTH has done that. Duncan’s appreciation for a myriad of styles is aptly displayed. It hooks the listener with an infectious opener before delivering a sucker punch right to the gut. This level of craftsmanship is rare today. I can’t think of another album that so perfectly reflects the ups & down of a gay man tripping into his 30s. The sound of something snapping - either breaking or finally falling into place.
  11. Echoes of Ancient Rome
    by Michael Levy
The Temple of Mars (Original Composition for Replica Lyre in the Ancient Dorian Mode) The Temple of Mars (Original Composition for Replica Lyre in the Ancient Dorian Mode)
Art should never be measured in terms of good or bad, but rather in how successful it if at evoking reaction. To be blunt, the record is one that cut me to the bone. Levy's compositions are carefully crafted interpretations of similar melodies through the lens of both his artistic eye and his knowledge of classical history. Apart from my own personal attachment to this record, the music stands on its own as an incredible effort to bridge together two epochs through time-honored tradition.
