Return To The Sky (From Whence You Came) Return To The Sky (From Whence You Came)
This album is a great example of what happens when you get some geeky types together to make a serious death metal album. It's loud, it's brutal, but it's also imbued with a good sense of humor. Tracks like Bears and Return to the Sky have some catchy heavy riffs and balance that out with a bit of tongue and cheek that make them fun to listen to over and over again.
  2. Dominions
    by Give Zombies the Vote
Cross Me Over Cross Me Over
Dominions will suck you into its gravitational pull and make you never want to leave. While the featured track Black Hole showcases a catchy riff and smart lyrics that are satisfying for those of us with a love of science, I always find myself returning to Corpsicle and Cross Me Over for their sheer brutality.
  3. Pinnacle Of The Draco
    by Angels of Liberty
    Weaving Spiders Weaving Spiders
A little on the stereotypical goth music side, Angels of Liberty will scratch that itch for gothic rock dance classics you might normally fill with the likes of Sisters of Mercy or Rosetta Stone. While the lyrics can be repetitive and a little on the cheesy side, the beats are fun to dance to and will make you forget that half the song is the same phrase over and over again.
  4. Chemistry of Consciousness (Deluxe Edition)
    by Toxic Holocaust
Wargasm (Bonus Track) Wargasm (Bonus Track)
Aggression is the game and TH plays it well. This album is solid, but the real stand out is definitely the bonus track (Wargasm) that stands up to many of the thrash/death metal anthems and promises to do so for quite some time.

This Horrifying Force (The Desire To Kill) This Horrifying Force (The Desire To Kill)
When you want some straight up evil in your ears, Skeleton Witch delivers in spades. Demonic vocals, catchy guitar riffs, and moments of melodic beauty create some dark magic that will keep you listening over and over again.
