I adore everything about this album, from the beautifully executed orchestral instrumentation to Wood's strained, impassioned vocals and manic delivery. The songs on this album are accessible, yet not at the expense of the complexity and experimentation that characterized For the First Time. Wood's lyrics are at times poignant and devastating, embarrassing, and tongue-in-cheek, but always honest, and delivered with a quavering voice that never fails to evoke deep-seated emotion within you.
