I love it when songwriters revisit their own catalog in different ways. Songs and their meanings evolve over time. Great effort here, and I'm glad I stumbled on it.
This album sounds sooooo damn good. It really sounds like you're in the room with the amps. Its nice to hear a band that isn't just scream core or barking sludge.
Such a great record. The songs really hook you, and the live recording feel is so well done. It feels like you're right in the middle of the room surrounded by the players. Love it!
This ain't Texas. This ain't Nashville. This is country that straddles the US and Canadian border. Its wide open, strong, and a little vulnerable, and in a lot of cases having a good ol' time. I love her feel.
This album is a document of growth. It wears her style proudly throughout, but Sierra is letting the stylistic legs stretch. The sound pallet is also expanding. I love artists who can inhabit a form but make it completely their own thing. Excellent!
The is the real electric hoodoo here. I am of the belief that you can't make make this music proper unless you're raised up in all the tradition. This is all the way right!
