To me this album is the high water mark of 90’s DIY lo-fi. It hit on a very deep level at first listen and all these years later, it’s only gotten better and warms even deeper. Droning melancholy songs and experiments for short attention spans that radiate warmth and honesty. I always feel at peace when listening to Alastair’s music, but if I had to choose, this would be my favorite of his many wonderful albums.
