Its a blackgaze/hardstyle/trance album, and one that is deeper, stranger, and more wonderful than those genres can be by themselves.
Black Metal has always rested on the doorstep of an existential optimism, of a more pure freedom stemming from its utter rejection of meaning in a meaningless world. The tone of this album does exactly that.
Noir Kid feels completely free and organic, shrouded in despair and eagerly hopeful all at the same time.
Very original, very interesting.
