A journey up the River Clettwr collecting Welsh language songs has culminated in a subtle, gorgeous collection steeped in the culture of the land. There are songs of longing and yearning, love-messenger songs inhabited by birds, and through them runs the river, sometimes the sound of the actual river itself, sometimes running in rills and eddies through guitars, cellos, double bass, harp and voice.
