The soundtrack to riding your bike down the street and it's juuuuust slightly downhill and super steady with occasional manholes and cracks to swerve around. And your favorite burrito place is ten blocks away and your friends already ordered so it'll be ready as soon as you get there. And you've got a new hat that you're super excited about.
The Kyle Sowashes are a meta-manifestation of indie rock holding a mirror up to itself. It's a van with empty chip bags on the floor. It's winding your guitar cables in a dirty bar somewhere in the Southwest. It's watching another band being be so joyful and thinking, "Why am I not this stoked anymore?" And then you get to a new town and have the freshest donut you've ever had in your life and that night everything is so locked in and you can't even believe how good it can still be.
This is the soundtrack to quitting a thankless job, a late night in a punk house, making out behind a dollar theater, and reading comics on a Sunday morning. I fucking love this band.
