This track is a beautiful example of restraint and balance that is often missing from so much so called "ambient" music. I would go so far as to say that this piece falls much more closely into the genre, as it is so "site specific" (Eno's original definition). Even though the site is non-physical, this piece presents a clear sense of place that feels genuinely grounded. There's also the masterful use of harmony, moving between a functional approach and one of stillness.
