Death Machine brings to mind a dystopia so dark and brooding that virtually no light can exist and yet light there is, skilfully interwoven angelic voices of Aria and Tamsyn to calm the savage unrelenting beast that is the heart rate altering bass and the disturbingly ominous chanting of the male vocals. Not my family’s cup of ox blood but an album that’s been on high rotate in my work shed since it’s release. Most definitely three thumbs up. Excellent addition to the history of music in NZ.
