If This is What Passes for Living If This is What Passes for Living
Gut-churning, violent, and intense. A hellish soundscape made moreso with the addition of bits of foley and ambiance, like a snippet of audio from a piece of video evidence attached to a homicide, or a gritty, dark thriller (the audio clips taken directly from No Country for Old Men don't hurt that descriptor.) To put it bluntly, this music wants to hurt me. And I want it to.
  17. A Crow Looked At Me
    by Mount Eerie
A supremely melancholy and thoughtful album. Phil takes his rawest, most soul-crushing emotions and translates them directly onto this record. It is cozy yet cold, quiet yet absolutely unrelenting. I just hope he's doing better.
