Dudes. Check these guys out if you like fun. They are akin to a Canadian version of Dirty Fences with their stage presence and poppy jaunty punky rock. I loved seeing them live and bought both of their records, which they seemed surprised about, but I'm glad I did because I'm not going to Canada anytime soon, fools, and I hate ordering vinyl in the mail. If they come to a town near you definitely go see them!

Slow Season! How do I love thee? Let me count the ways...10 songs on this album + 4 members=14. I love you 14 ways. That sounds really weird but whatever. Rocknroll, baby! The moment I heard the opening notes of this album I knew this was a band for me. Seeing Slow Season live is a blast and I am very impatiently awaiting their return to Portland because I never go to California even though they are always playing awesome shows down there.

Bandcamp says "tell the artist and the rest of the world why you love this album". Are you fucking kidding me? It's Sandrider AND Kinski!!! And Sandrider does a cover of Mountain Song! C'mon! In addition, the vinyl is beautiful and the art work by Jesse Roberts is lovely.

I first heard A&TA when attending a friend's band show in Vancouver, WA (not Canada). Lots of fun energy and solid tunes. Since then I've seen them several times, booked them twice and every time I see them they just keep sounding even better! Last time I saw them I had so much fun that someone stole the tape I had just bought from them. Who steals tapes? Jerks, that's who. But these guys aren't jerks. So buy their cds or digital whatever or tapes if there are any left!

Once, not long ago, in a world full of awesome music I had not heard of Big Business. Then April of 2015 rolled around and I went to Stumpfest. BB was headlining, rushing over from playing a show earlier that night with Mastodon and Clutch. Seeing them live was amazing. Coady Willis is probably one of the best contemporary rock drummers alive right now. I love this album and if you ever get a chance to see BB live, do it!!!
Trees and Chump Chance tie with Battlefields as my fave tracks.

    Seeing NEEDS perform is like...
well you just have to see it for yourself. If you can't make it to Canada or they aren't coming to your town try to find some videos on youtube. I was lucky enough to see them twice in one week when they were rolling up and down the west coast. Sean did a reverse striptease during the second show. I think he wound up in two shirts, a coat, and a hat. These guys are awesome.
