This album is like a combination of what sounds to me like The Beach Boys' Pet Sounds, mixed with some They Might Be Giants influences, and some very original underscoring and band work. This album just really is the best kind of indie pop, the kind that stays with you a long while after your first listen. I even heard the track Straight Talk in my dream, playing on the radio, sounding even better than it could sound in real life.
