this album smells like asphalt and cigarette ash, it's thicker than tar, and turns some horrible chipmunk renditions of semi-beloved pop songs into wonderful post-punk anthems with the drum and guitar tones of a band that's more likely to sing about the inevitability of death. this album makes 'Heaven is a place on earth' sound like a threat.
