There are very very few records (Astral Weeks comes to mind) that accomplish what this one does. A Fish of Earth creates a wonderful, unique sonic world to support top-notch songwriting. Hearing this for the first time was a revelation. A songwriter myself, hearing this lit a fire under me and gave me a ravenous hunger to create. Easily one of the best releases of the year.
