  3. So When You Gonna...
    by Dream Wife
Dream Wife continue to kick everything that can be kicked. Total joy, it builds and builds.
  4. How To Live
    by Modern Nature
    Devotee Devotee
It is hard to pin point why this album is so great. That is probably because it succeeds so well in it's fusion of rural and urban, pastoral and mechanical, modern and ancient. Tapping deeply into a pagan past dominated by spirits of nature but blending in beats of modern urban Britain. It is a little like sitting on Silbury Hill and listening to Stormzy.
    Hippy-Jazz-Tastic.
  5. Live at Glastonbury 2017
    by Gaffa Tape Sandy
    Beehive (Live) Beehive (Live)
This is where I first saw GTS. On the telly that is, I wasn't actually there.
  6. HAWAII
by Collections of Colonies of Bees
    Harms Harms
It's a bit like prog-rock, but actually pleasant to listen to.

Break Down Your Walls Break Down Your Walls
I found these fabulous people on an Alcopop Records sampler and they stood out even among the brilliance of all the other artists.
Reminds me of Leeds University in the mid 90's.

That is a good thing in case you weren't sure.

    x0x x0x
    Hey Julia-Sophie, what's up?
There is something disturbing and edgey about these tunes. It feels like we are trapped at home in some terrible pandemic or something.
  10. HiRUDiN
    by Austra
Mountain Baby (feat. Cecile Believe) Mountain Baby (feat. Cecile Believe)
Austra just grows and grows. Gorgeous.
  11. Five Cadences
    by Sarah Davachi
    Extreme Calm - again.
  12. WITH
    by Sylvan Esso
    Die Young Die Young
For people like me who came late to Sylvan Esso and don't know which album to buy first, this is a great choice. All the great tunes in one place with the added frisson of the wonderful live performance. Amelia's voice is heart-breaking at times.
  13. The Earth With Her Crowns
    by Laura Cannell
Someone Will Remember us in Another Time Someone Will Remember us in Another Time
    A sonic wonderland.
  14. Orange
by Caroline Shaw & Attacca Quartet
Plan & Elevation: IV. The Orangery Plan & Elevation: IV. The Orangery
Very, very, very, very highbrow. Makes your brain bigger just by listening.
  15. Possible (live) at King's Place
    by Zoe Keating
Zoe never disappoints. I play her stuff on loops for days on end.

    by Various Artists
I love samplers, this one is shouty nice.
  17. Polyvinyl Winter 2019-2020 Sampler

How to be ridiculously "well-listened" in one evening.

The Shame That I Wear The Shame That I Wear
Max is about 5 years old. It should not be allowed to be this good so young.
