This initial release hints at an album of ominous, sweeping, infiltrating vibes. In Track 5, Let Yourself Away from This Place, Caldon edges us towards humanity's approaching abyss while anchoring the listener to a raw, earthy experience that reminds us that even in decay, there is sustenance for new life. I can't wait for the full album. Epic.

I first purchased this album on vinyl over the counter at the Dan O'Connell Hotel (Carlton, Australia) one lunchtime (do you remember, all you could get was a toasted sandwich?) as Christy sat with a few mates, yarning. He signed it 'Have a Good Brew'. Well, I've had many a good brew to these tunes and recommend them as a fun and eclectic sample of Christy's talent. To this day, songs like Sullivan's John, Shamrock Shore and Joe Hill remain favorites.
