An album of diverse styles and influences all well-executed. Shows that Converge will not be pigeonholed into "screamo" Their hardcore parts are brutal, their melodic elements beautifully done. Fav tracks: Dead Beat, Cruel Bloom
This album reminds me why Converge are way ahead of the hardcore pack. The emotions displayed on this album are raw and powerful and the rhythms are energetic beyond belief. The drums and guitars are still crazy technical and the production this go-around are intensely crisp and clear.
