This is the first album I've heard from piana that feels entirely unconstrained, like there were no expectations she tried to satisfy, no style she tried to emulate, nothing but her unstained artistic vision. There's no heaviness here, no rough edges like on Muse's "Ruins", only the pure, alien beauty of soft melodies and hauntingly beautiful vocals forming made-up words, leaving all interpretation up to the listener. I truly love this album. I don't think any of her prior work compares.
