for some people, fandom was a creative crutch, and taking that away meant taking away the only thing that gave them any character (i feel guilty of this myself sometimes). but not fern. it's clear it was only holding her back.

fern has consistently demonstrated an ability to fearlessly write her mind, and that's been inspiring to me in my own projects for years at this point. i'm always excited to hear what she's gonna do next, and this album doesn't disappoint.

As soon as I heard this remix I needed to throw money at whoever made it.

This is a perfect god damn album. It was better than I expected, and I was expecting perfection.

Beyond the whole album, I Earn My Life in particular is an interesting evolution in his style. The synth work and general production in the whole thing is amazing, even breath-taking. And the attention to detail (like with the numerous perfect transitions and delicious vocal layering and harmonization) makes this easily the best Lemon Demon to date, and perhaps one of my favorite albums of all time.
