Above The Clouds Above The Clouds
So versatile! This EP is mostly uplifting drum-n-bass and touching piano music … until the crunchy, prog-metal interlude in Above the Clouds kicks in … which is just awesome.

I opened for these guys in 2005 as an acoustic act. Good stuff! Lightyears ahead of other prog rock bands. Fast-forward to 2017, and some pop music is starting to sound like this. Respect.

If Weezer played a mix of prog and shoegaze, this would be it. Great album, but I'm disappointed by their live shows due to the singer's potty mouth.
  9. The Tower of Light

An incredible blend of styles and emotions. If Deftones collaborated with My Bloody Valentine, it would sound like this.
