Jah Wars is a relentless breakbeat assault, but Nerf Herder takes it to the next level with its melody backdrop, humorous samples and some sound-system MCs as well
Decompression and So Cruel are deliciously languid acid concoctions with vocal snippets, but the the brain-bashing Back To Acid is my favourite, with it's Maurice-inspired sentiment and Phuture-styled vocal.
Great collection of acid tracks from the quirky to the melodic to the dancefloor. My lead track has a "good life" feel but the whole collection is worthy of attention.
As a former denizen of grubby old Brum I was familiar with some of Sir Real's output as he was part of the loose group of DJs / producers associated with nights such as the legendary House of God, and more prominent artists such as DJ Surgeon and his Downwards label.
Lovin this set of remixes. All the way from techno and jackin house to old skool rave revival and D&B. And fantastic packaging / marketing - good job all round!
Hard to get past the first track (Run From Deep) as possible favourite, but this Echasketch track must be heard. Lots of lovely Acid, techno and breaks in this collection..
