  1. MM...Food
    by MF DOOM
    Kon Karne Kon Karne
The supervillain's magnum opus: a consistent theme, the ability to tell stories, use samples creatively, and rhyme technically, MF DOOM creates a hiphop classic with Mm..Food.
  2. Madvillainy
    by Madvillain
    All Caps All Caps
Hip-hop's finest and an underground classic presenting the best of both worlds in rapping and production.
  3. Windswept Adan
    by Ichiko Aoba
Dawn in the Adan Dawn in the Adan
Flows like a river. Every single instrument being played on the album sounds bare and creates wonderfully harmonious melodies. It delivers something very pleasingly simple yet elegant from start to finish.

  9. Lovetheism
    by HARU NEMURI
    Riot Riot
Bursting with energy and positivity, like being filled with bravado to face a terrifying but exciting new journey head on.
  10. Hiss
    by Wormrot
Your Dystopian Hell Your Dystopian Hell
This record is anything but one-dimensional; absolutely pummelling sound worked with some moments of harmony amidst all the rapid-fire, violent rage, in this extreme metal gem of an album.
  11. Tales Of Othertime
    by Stormkeep
A Journey Through Storms A Journey Through Storms
  12. Suspended in the Brume of Eos

  13. Atrocity Exhibition
    by Danny Brown
Ain't it Funny Ain't it Funny
I don't know that I can pick a single favorite track with Danny painting a raw story, with each one building upon one another and snowballing until it breaks apart towards the end when Danny finally decides to get himself together and deliver a definitive statement. That being said, Ain't It Funny got me into this album, so I'll go with that. But this entire record is just a masterpiece. A frenzied, yet sobering, statement and then some.
  14. Det Tapte Liv
    by ANTESTOR
  15. The Forsaken
    by ANTESTOR
Though the band itself may seem contradictory to what the genre they play generally stands for, Antestor's musicianship is nothing to scoff at. That's what earned them the respect they deserve: the fact that their craft speaks for itself, regardless of lyrical focus or labels. Don't take my word for it, maybe Hellhammer himself acknowledging the band and playing drums on this record will do the trick.
  16. Unsilent Death (10th Anniversary Edition)
    by Nails
  17. Desolate North
    by Celestiial
While the brooding atmosphere the sound encapsulates is a selling point for Desolate North, it can start sounding monotonous the further you go, especially with the cymbals repetitively and loudly ringing off, which sounds more distracting to, rather than being part of, the listening experience. I do find some enjoyment from it still, as the rough mix, reverbed tone, and the sounds of nature, create this weird sense of comfort while journeying through the gloom.
