Hands down my favorite album of 2012. David's a Berklee-educated composer who has crafted an album that feels like much more than just a handful of songs. From the opening seconds straight through to the end of the album, the experience is one big, uninterrupted masterpiece.

    Illusion: Celestial Illusion: Celestial
If David Maxim Micic's "Bilo 2.0" wasn't potentially the best album I've ever heard, this release would be #1 for the year. I loved Dan with Tesseract, so when I heard these songs from Keshav and company, I was blown away. Each song is, in and of itself, an amazing piece of work.

I'll be honest; I've sat here for the past 10 minutes trying to put into words how mind-blowing this album is, but I'd rather you just buy the album and take a listen for yourself.

You don't hear enough of this sort of music any more. My first experience with Zack and Elliot's work was through following Travis Orbin into Sky Eats Airplane, but their musical prowess is much more powerful than anything you can hear in a single album with one particular group.

Again, Dan Tompkins shows his versatility over the top of Scott Kay's atmospheric instrumentation. If there's ever been an album that puts into music the feeling you experience when you "Embrace the Rain" or think of "Waterfalls" or the "Arctic," this is it.

    Blood Petals Blood Petals
These guys are going to be enormous. Very rhythm-driven metal with incredible guitar lines and Ryan Devlin's vocal range is incredible. Stepping into a position once filled by Periphery's Spencer Sotelo can't be an easy task, but I'd go as far as to say in the context of Corelia...he might sound better.
  8. Journey Through The Hidden Gardens

Jakub Zytecki's guitar work truly shines on this album. The diversity even within each song is fantastic, and it's hard to not picture a group of much more seasoned musicians performing this music. Definitely looking forward to hearing more from these guys!

Unbelievably technical, brutal jazz-metal featuring ex-Periphery Chris Barretto.
