This album was there for me in my youngest years of development. It will always be there for me. Words cannot express how grateful I am for this piece of art to exist. There is none like it. To this day, it stands alone. A deep cut from the human soul, a triumph of the imagination, a wonder of the heart. Thank you for this masterpiece, from the bottom of my heart.

    Rating: Inimitable.

It's impossible for me to explain just how well-crafted this album is in all aspects. It tells a very evocative, deep story, and it does it extremely well. Every song belongs on the album; no song feels out of place. I love this album to death. The coda of Visceral Grit '92 is simply beautiful beyond words. And I have no idea how Off/World is even allowed to exist, let alone how it was made by a human being. There is some bloat with interludes, but it's forgivable. 9/10.

Streets of Fire Streets of Fire
As time went on, it’s been proven just how much of a titan this album truly is. The motifs are excellently strung together, every song coming together to tell a beautifully dystopian yet bittersweet story. Few albums will do what this one did. Every song feels that it belongs; no song feels misplaced. From the spacious yet personal Crypt Diver to the regretful Streets of Fire, one can get incessantly lost here. Words cannot express the love I feel for this album having entered my life. 8.5/10.

An early MD album without his trademark skull art. While the production is nowhere near as technically impressive or sophisticated as his later works, the album itself is cogent and neatly wound tight with a solid set of motifs and a distinct nightly soundscape. Despite the dated production, this EP is so cohesive that it is easily an 8/10.

It’s a side album and it’s dope. For $6 it’s definitely worth buying. Most of these sounds were already heard in past albums, but no previous songs matched this level of atmosphere and enchantment. I give it a 8/10. The three interludes may not be your cup of tea, though.

    Telegnostic Telegnostic
I hope Mega Drive sees this review. This is undoubtedly one of his most strong and consistent works to date. The tunes are mouthwatering, but the caveat is that one must have the taste for them; unfortunately this EP did not penetrate the barriers of entry of popular synthwave that gets millions of views on YouTube. Only bad things are: Telegnostic is too short and Flawless is hit-or-miss. Suppressor is a 2nd fav, but some might be put-off by its aggressive noise ending. A solid 8/10.

This album overall feels bloated and has a lack of clarity that earlier MD entries excelled at. The middle to later portions of this album feel like a long grind with no clear direction. Compared to the first third of the album, the rest feels off, like it doesn't belong. I think there are many instances of thematically-linked songs appearing far apart from each other, such as METACURSE and TSL, which would've benefited from leading into each other instead of being spaced out. 6/10.
  8. Enterface (Single)
    by Mega Drive
Addictive as hell and the chunky bass-like synth is awesome. Reminds me of Memory Dealer from 198XAD. However, I have a complaint about the ending. The ending is just an abrupt loop and I think it was a bit lazy. MD could’ve come up with some new chord progression for the end like he did in Dataline, but instead he just leaves it as a loop.
