    float float
I've been listening to this for over a decade now and I still find the opening to float absolutely stunning. Now, being the complete uncut tracks, there are some passages that can feel a bit "noodly," but I personally love getting to hear how these pieces originally developed.
  2. Lost In Space (Volume 2)
    by radio massacre international
    fini fini
float, greekscene, and fini are absolutely amazing examples (and fini makes a fantastic climax to disc 2 of this great collection)
  3. Lost In Space (Volume 3)
    by radio massacre international
    retina flood retina flood
Fantastic examples of early RMI. Retina flood is an epic journey; I just close my eyes and drift off into another world – it's difficult to believe this wasn't released early on.
  4. Lost In Space (Volume 4)
    by radio massacre international
    abbey abbey
Good tracks - quarry and abbey are my favorite. Fantastic textures/atmosphere.
  5. Diabolica (30th Anniversary Edition)

  6. The God Of Electricity Expanded
    by radio massacre international
The God Of Electricity Expanded:Part Three The God Of Electricity Expanded:Part Three
The original God of Electricity was one of the first RMI albums I acquired. I was very surprised when I learned that this was recorded before the material that became frozen north – much grittier and harsher (in a good way!) than frozen north; the atmosphere feel is much closer to republic than frozen north or organ harvest. To have the full uncut tracks is really fun. Part 1 and Part 2 are definitely my favorites from this album.

  8. pyramid
    by radio massacre international
    pyramid pyramid
Both of these tracks are fantastic. My initial favorite was quarry, but pyramid has grown to be one of my all time favorite RMI tracks.
These are definitely on the slow and contemplative end of things, but the textures (especially in pyramid) are simply heavenly.
  9. republic (uncut)
    by radio massacre international
send off (uncut) send off (uncut)
Fantastic album! The original version of this was one of the first RMI albums I acquired back in the day. I loved the original so of course I love these uncut tracks. The opening textures are glorious and middle sections are complex and intense.
(I'm not sure why bandcamp won't let me select raw cane approach as my favorite track??)
  10. Abbey
    by radio massacre international
Like the "20 years ago today" album, this is the longer, uncut version of the wonderful track found in Lost in Space. As I mentioned with float and greekscene, the complete track does meander a bit in places, so it doesn't come off quite as strong as the shorter track; however, it's great fun to hear how the original piece came together.
  11. armistice (uncut)
    by radio massacre international
This is one of my all time favorite tracks from RMI. The opening textures are heavenly and just continue on for a wonderful length of time, slowly developing before the fantastic sequence/guitar/melltron segment.
  12. startide
    by radio massacre international
    monstrous tides monstrous tides
I love monstrous tides. Really fun piece. Startide is much more abstract, but there are a several stellar passages throughout.
  13. zabriskie point
    by radio massacre international
    zabriskie point zabriskie point
ha'penny bridge and zabriskie point are my favorites here. dante's view is much more abstract, but has some nice passages hidden within.
  14. Organ Harvest: Songs For A Rainy Day Volume 1
    by radio massacre international
A Minute Of Silence A Minute Of Silence
I spent years looking for a copy of this album with success. I was excited when this release dropped, but I was not prepared for all the amazing extra material! The alternate version of monstrous tides is great; specific coast highway and ladybirds are amazing! I love the uncut version of edison; I don't know how RMI was able to cut out so much great material and use such a little snippet of this great track in the original album.
  15. Knutsford In May: Live At Jodrell Bank
    by radio massacre international
This was the second RMI album I acquired back in the day. Every single track is just simply fantastic. Skeletope is definitely my favorite - the little audio bits that are worked into the later part of that track are such a fantastic addition (pulled from test/calibration signals that were bounced off the moon!).
  16. Prototypes and Patents
    by radio massacre international
Prototypes and Patents (Original Edit) Prototypes and Patents (Original Edit)
This was the first bandcamp release ever I purchased. The track itself is fantastic; but, it's really fun to hear to the original three recordings and see how different parts contributed to the final edit. Highly recommend this one!
  17. Lost In Space (Volume 5)
    by radio massacre international
    jordan jordan
Lots of great tracks on this volume. I absolutely love titanic (it's right up there with rosemary's baby, ha'penny bridge, monstrous tides, and other wonderful dark pieces by RMI). measure acre and jordan are also favorites.
  18. Organ Harvest: Songs For A Rainy Day Volume 2
    by radio massacre international
    Geiger (Uncut) Geiger (Uncut)
This volume is full of wonderful goodies. The uncut version of geiger and the original version of rainy day song are my favorites. The alternate take of titanic is superb. bells of baumann and piano and bell theme are really fun. Highly recommended!

Only Just Begun - Frozen North 2 Only Just Begun - Frozen North 2
Excellent concert! Good tracks, the improvisation tracks are great.
  20. Last Rainy Day Under Right Song
    by radio massacre international
Fun mashup of some classic tracks.
