  5. Cuttin Grass - Vol. 2 (The Cowboy Arms Sessions)
    by Sturgill Simpson
    Tennessee Tennessee
OK after wearing this thing out for a few days I have to say that "Tennessee" is my favorite. Mainly I guess because I haven't heard it before and I get a slight George Jones vibe from it. A really close second is "Hobo Cartoon" because, well you know......Merle
  6. Pretty Paper

Please research the origins of this song and give to the people that need our help now more than ever.
  7. Cuttin’ Grass - Vol.1 (The Butcher Shoppe Sessions)
    by Sturgill Simpson
Welcome Home Sturgill. This is where you were always meant to be.
  8. Manitoba Sunrise at Motel 6
    by Tami Neilson
"A Western Star rolls by somewhere it needs to be". In my mind I can literally see this song being written. RV late at night going to the next gig. Tami with her Spiderman spiral notebook looking out the window composing one of my favorite songs of all time.
  9. Dream
    by Tami Neilson
Better than the original. Everly Brothers would be so jealous.
  10. Don't Be Afraid
    by Tami Neilson
So powerful. Even more so when you know the back story. When I listen to this song so do my neighbors. I'm sure they will thank me later.
  11. Cry Myself to Sleep
    by Tami Neilson
Sure to be a classic. The melody, the lyrics are sublime. Why is this not a world wide hit?
  12. One Thought of You
    by Tami Neilson
Such a beautiful song. This takes me back to the fifties. Which is kind of funny because I wasn't around then, but I love this style. Ella Fitzgerald or Peggy Lee would have had a smash hit with this song. Neither one could have done it as well as Tami though. It' a family song.

  13. The Bottle & Me
    by Tami Neilson
How can something so sad be so beautiful at the same time? A remarkable piece of songwriting that breaks my heart but then somehow puts it back together. Awestruck again and again by Tami's talent.

  14. Jeremiah / Why’d Ya Do It
    by Sierra Ferrell
Genre's be damned. Love everything this Lady does. Country or Gypsy Jazz It's all fantastic.
  15. CHICKABOOM!
    by Tami Neilson
Every track of CHICKABOOM! is a Gem. It's a rare perfect album. Tami Neilson, in my opinion is the greatest singer/songwriter of our age. I can't wait to see what's in store for us in 2021.
EDIT: Well this comment didn't age well. Add one digit to make it extremely prescient. 🙂
