Mercedes, you played at one of my first metal concerts back in 2003 - half of both our lives ago - at TekWorld in Louisville, and it's awesome to see you're still growing as an artist in such a great new direction. I hope a full-length is in store in the near future, 'cause 3 songs just aren't enough. Keep going, louder and HEAVIER!!!

    Ol' Soulbelcher Ol' Soulbelcher
This is a quartet of fine, rugged gentlemen playing some Maiden-inspired goodness with more hooks than a bait shop, and nary a sleeve amongst them. You won't be able to get the choruses to 'Ol' Soulbelcher' or 'Black Blizzard' out of your head 'til the cows come home. Do yerself a favor and pick this'n up.

Caverns of Twilight Caverns of Twilight
I remember finding LO on MySpace, back in the days before it became a depopulated wasteland of pop ads. I was among the first to buy this album, which, to my knowledge, sadly never made it to print. The first time I heard the main riff of Caverns of Twilight, I was hooked; this wasn't just some ordinary goth metal album, it had real moments of power, honesty, and beautiful instrumentation. I'm happy to pay for it again to add it to my collection here; I hope all is well, Giampaul!
