Recent discussions around ideas like "liminal spaces" or "negative emotional aura" in reference to things like Mario 64 leave me reflecting on childhood memories with a more honest version of nostalgia. It is a little unsettling, yet somehow, uncannily comfortable. This album and Jim's follow-up "Another Childhood" do a wonderful job of reflecting this state of mind.
