like Jenga (only it reaches all the way to the sky and it’s made of knives) like Jenga (only it reaches all the way to the sky and it’s made of knives)
I happened to read of Mira Calix's death and looked her up on Bandcamp. What an amazing person, and an amazing legacy. A scattergun of virtuoso compositions, a prolific imagination, a sense of freshness and spontaneity to everything. What an artist!

Bátá (N. Roth) Bátá (N. Roth)
A whole album of the flute and not a single, willowy note! It groans, sighs, shrieks, prowls – there is apparently nothing it won't do for Andonovska. A wonderful celebration of the unimagined potential of an instrument you thought you knew!
  8. iGIRL - Act One (double album)
    by Roger Doyle
  9. Charlotte Corday And The Lament Of Louis XVI/Passades - Volume 1

    The Ninth Set - Sector 1/Sector 2 part 1 The Ninth Set - Sector 1/Sector 2 part 1
Roger Doyle's Passades have an uncanny way of creating a whole landscape of the ear – you hear things near at hand, farther away, in the distance – and a sense that you are travelling through this strange, haunted world.

    Satori (Coagulation) Satori (Coagulation)
From the first notes, it's an album that grabs you and won't let go. A single, electrifying meditation for solo violin that obsesses, argues, implores and serenades Bartók's sonata, but constantly opening onto vistas that Bartók would never have dreamed of!

    For Voice For Voice
Her music carries your attention effortlessly, moment-by-moment without either pestering it or wearying it. An almost miraculous sense of time and space frames the music.
