Multi-layered sonic explorations by german Marc Richter. By using a wide-spread array of loops, samples, processed sounds etc Marc crafted a delicate album that needs your full attention. Deeply resonating for me.
Wow, some kind of power-jazz-funk or something like that. On 'Touch’ it’s all systems go as you will find an incredible mix of styles displayed here. Played with brilliant skills this trio around guitarist Nic Svarc takes you on a musical journey that leaves a deep impression.
I immediately got caught by the relaxing mood and the warm sound of the Fender Rhodes piano. It surprised me that Massimo is originally a drummer though, a job he also does very tasteful. The music presented here is generally quite relaxing blending atmospheric ambient with a jazzy undertone and some distant post-rock influences as well. But don’t expect to feel asleep as Massimo cleverly presents some complexity as well. Recommended !
Great album, that's why I bought it on VINYL! It took 3 months to arrive but together with excuses for the delay the package contained a nice surprise.... the latest DCQ album on cd "Quatorze pieces de menace". Thanks Christophe !
