  1. DROWN THE TRAITOR WITHIN
    by LORN
    PERFEKT DARK PERFEKT DARK
this is some fresh material! the first few seconds suggest something's about to go down. overall a well-balanced mix of beats and ambiance. PERFEKT DARK is making its way up to my all-time favorite track for combining both so damn well. TIMESINK takes you on an adventure. i really dig the beat and vocals of THROUGH THE FIRE. given the name and the overall feel of this EP, for me it's all about fighting our own demons, and coming out on top. inspiring stuff, as always. thank you Lorn.
  2. RARITIES
    by LORN
    LOSST LOSST
what beautiful RARITIES these are. several are familiar from Self Confidence and the likes, some are new to my ears. to me, LOSST sounds like the epic adventure in our dreams, full of grandeur and hope; while HOPE YOU'LL STAY emits stabbing despair. vast contrast among these tracks. as always, the emotion and sound engineering is unrivaled, even in these older pieces. thank you Lorn
  3. REMNANT
    by LORN
OUT OF THE FRAME OUT OF THE FRAME
I AM A DAGGER is a great first teaser! those first seconds are awesome sound engineering. marvelous album, i can't wait for what more. i'm usually not a fan of lyrics in music, but Lorn's vocals are simply beautiful, but maybe i'm biased... L'APPEL DU VIDE feels so refined, idk how else to describe it. OUT OF THE FRAME feels like it's up to something important. great variety in this album, it shows Lorn's absolute mastery of expression in this difficult medium, while still remaining... Lorn.
  4. Ask The Dust
    by Lorn
Italics (Digital Bonus Track) Italics (Digital Bonus Track)
so many excellent tracks in this album, Weigh Me Down, Diamond, The Gun, and Italics are my favorites, but all of them are so powerful. if i were introducing Lorn to someone unfamiliar, one of these tracks would probably be played. i feel like this album is an instant classic. timeless tunes, dude. thank you
  5. THE MAZE TO NOWHERE
    by LORN
    OXBOW B OXBOW B
Man, OXBOW B is so dark, i love the gritty, organic sound of what sounds like a cello. Lorn's music could be classified as 'Electronic," but his use of non-electronic sounds is what sets his musical engineering apart.
  6. THE MAZE TO NOWHERE / PART 2
    by LORN
    ENTANGLED ENTANGLED
ENTANGLED might be my favorite Lorn track, but there are so many, really.
  7. THE MAZE TO NOWHERE / PART 3
    by LORN
    NEGATIVE JUMPSUIT NEGATIVE JUMPSUIT
NEGATIVE JUMPSUIT is a beautiful track whose style would sound cheesy and new-age made by anyone else but Lorn, but he builds it so well. i could even call it upbeat, which is unusual and welcomed.
  8. EP1
    by Omega Clash
    Border Song Border Song
sounds that isolated, are fairly analyzable, but together create a gestalt that takes you away. music mastery, this collab is epic. i love everything about Border Song, the use of bass for more than the beat is on-point, the melody is “just” a simple saw tune, but dang it’s nice. We Rock Omega has a Daft Punk feel, the sounds are danceable and ambient and kinda retro. awesome EP, hope these guys create more.
  9. LORN & DOLOR - DRUGS
    by Wednesday Sound
VOLUME UNIT // CASES VOLUME UNIT // CASES
i found this album because i first found Lorn a while back, watching a GoPro video of an electric race car climbing Pike’s Peak, where Lorn’s “Sega Sunset” was featured. Lorn’s music is dark, occasionally haunting, with sounds i haven’t heard anywhere else, music or otherwise. For me, it puts me in a state of mind like nihilism or something. 13:25-14:40 of Atari Intel is awesome. Skippa at 15:35 is wonderful as well.
  10. Stuck in the System
    by Lorn
i love this track, it's pretty lighthearted and a little melancholy; easy listening. i often play it on repeat while driving, either commuting or wandering.
  11. SISTER
    by dolor
    Beneath Us Beneath Us
brilliant album, favorite tracks are Sister, Ice Nine, and Beneath Us. Beneath Us has a really nice feel. i’m usually not a fan of music with vocals, but this is a style i can handle, as it does it so well. these tracks have awesome ambience, are fairly laid-back, but still get me pumped up. they seem to tell a melancholy story, with ups and downs. it’s quantifiably good music how the harmonies and everything flows. it will take you somewhere else if you let it.
  12. A/D
    by LORN
SPINNING IN A DREAM SPINNING IN A DREAM
with A/D, Lorn really takes us into his world. generally, ambient music is too formless, and doesn't quench my musical thirst, but this world-building is so good. a lot of other Lorn tracks are too invigorating, this is my go-to album for relaxing.
  13. VESSEL
    by LORN
    ICE ICE
the tracks in this album are a perfect mix of ambience and beat. i really enjoy the use of various-styled vocals throughout. i can't tell if the voice is the Man himself, but it's really good.
  14. Gun City
    by dolor
    Bad Luck Bad Luck
i really like how minimal some of these tracks are. sometimes less is better, and this is a perfect example. this album emanates emotion.
  15. A R A
    by dolor
    A R A A R A
good beats and great ambience. nice melancholy melodies that are still pretty light. i really enjoy the different percussion throughout the song A R A and the sounds that develop halfway onward.
    perfect album in my ears.

    Positronic Meltdown Positronic Meltdown
This is a marvelous album. Positronic Meltdown is an awesome track full of intricate details, backed by the perfect amount of bass. The sounds seem truly alive, like some sentient machine. i would say it's like dubstep, but dubstep fails to reach this level of consciousness... masterpiece.
  22. Nostril
    by Igorrr
    Excessive Funeral Excessive Funeral
what can i say? it's hard to describe this music or why i like it. it's easy to understand why someone unfamiliar with it would call it garbage, but damn, it really grows on me. truly unique!
  23. Hallelujah
    by Igorrr
    Scarlatti 2.0 Scarlatti 2.0
this music is absolutely crazy, it shouldn't work, i shouldn't enjoy this cacophony of wild sounds, but i do. beautiful in its own rite.
  24. Moisissure
    by Igorrr
Valse en Décomposition Valse en Décomposition
i really enjoy the dirty organic soundbites of life in this album. mixed with the insane combination of classical baroque, glitches and heavy metal, this music is the strangest thing that really just works. wonderful album.
  25. Savage Sinusoid
    by Igorrr
    Cheval Cheval
i love this album's use of glitchy sounds, as well as some its more civil tunes before the awesome madness in some of the tracks, reinforces the later melodies. track Cheval's combination of instruments and various vocals is badass, good music video as well.
