    Nero Nero
Screechy, fun, guitar (mostly) jam sessions. You can tell these guys are having a great time playing this stuff, and... it's infectious.

  6. Tomorrow Is My Turn

She's Got You She's Got You
A roots album (country, gospel, blues... Americana) that shows just how incredible Ms Gidden's voice is. The cover of "She's Got You" on this actually competes with Patsy Cline's classic.

    ...That's saying something.
  7. Childish Things
    by James McMurtry
We Can't Make it Here We Can't Make it Here
Great album by a great songwriter. Fits nicely in a playlist alongside Dylan, Kristofferson, Townes and Steve Earle.

Harlan County Line Harlan County Line
Amazing album. Comes complete with Harlan County Line, Johnny Ace is Dead and a whole bunch of lovely, modern Americana.

The flac version of this sounds great in my truck... not a crunch, clip or boom to be heard. That, in itself, gets this major points.

This is a lovely combination of early Floyd, U2 and a few San Francisco bands from the '60s with a heavy dose of Helmet tossed in. It's definitely best of breed when it comes to modern psych stuff. Even without a Hammond B3, it gets an easy A+...

Jo Bevan is one of the best singers in modern rock. The band is tight and talented and does some nifty post-punky style stuff. This album has some exceptional songs on it.
