Onward where Most with Ravin I may meet Onward where Most with Ravin I may meet
This album has me enthralled. Everything is so tightly packed, so intricately layered, and relentless from start to finish. There is no chorus, no verse, in fact barely anything repeats in the songs whatsoever. They have an ever so slightly thematic introduction to new movements as the songs progress, singling out one instrument for a measure before the rest of the band joins in. This requires uninterrupted and focused listening, and it is rewarding as new layers of guitars and vocal variations present themselves after repeat listens. This band is buff, and scary, and no one is doing black metal on this level. 5/5.

  11. Split W/ NORTHLESS
    by Primitive Man
    Empty Husk Empty Husk
The constant slow drudge up to the palpitating release right before the ten minute mark is pure filthy catharsis. Primitive Man reeks of misanthropic wonder and stares into the void unabashedly. It is wonderful. I'm glad this is touring the globe so people can leave venues feeling disgusted, moved, and weirdly inspired at the same time.
