  1. Melt
    by Whimsical
Crash and Burn Crash and Burn
A shimmering wash of guitars all over this gorgeous album. Up tempo numbers countered by some sublime slower moments. I think 'dream pop' encompasses it perfectly, but that other early 90s indie phenomenon beginning with 's' will, no doubt, get a mention too.

Krissy's clear, crystalline vocals are a delight.

Consistently fantastic, BNM is one of the brightest stars of recent times.

  6. Fathoms
    by Grieflines
Glorious, swirling electronica, taking you to another plane. Really enjoying this.
  7. 22 spring
    by Billy Nomates
Beautiful song, a real change of tempo and approach from Tor
  8. Brooklyn Bridge
    by Phil ‘Swill’ Odgers
  9. TV Flicker
    by Pale Blue Eyes
I love the urgency and rhythm of TV Flicker, it has a darkness to it and the feeling of a night drive on a long, deserted stretch of road. Superb.

  13. UNDER THE BRIDGE
    by VARIOUS ARTISTS
Even before the full release you know this is going to be an outstanding album. The glacial, jaw-dropping beauty of The Luxembourg Signal has been one of the best things to happen in music this century and this track continues that on - stunning.

Even as We Speak go full-on pop frenzy with a gorgeous piece of electronic loveliness and then there's The Orchids, who I think I have said everything possible about over the last 34 odd years, they continue to blow me away and I love them for that.
  14. I Wish I Was
    by The Orchids
  15. A Way Forward
    by Nation of Language
Gorgeous stuff, yeah it has that retro feel, but still as up to date as you could ask for. This Fractured Mind has deservedly had a lot of airplay on BBC 6 Music and I felt it only right to get the whole album on Bandcamp Friday

  18. Summer At Land's End
by The Reds, Pinks & Purples
First listen and what a beautiful piece of work. Flickering, echoing guitars, heartfelt vocals, perfect alternative pop and a couple of lovely instrumentals, which I'm always a sucker for. Go buy it and have your life enhanced.
