    by CHILDBIRTH
    00:00/00:00
    Women's Rights Women's Rights
Really hard to pick a favorite among the lovely snarky tunes on this one. Yeah @JuliaShapiro has another cool collection on her hands. (I'm not her real Dad, but he should be proud...)
  2. It's a Girl!
    by CHILDBIRTH
    00:00/00:00
    Crossbitch Crossbitch
This is totally not suitable for the toddler crowd, and my Grandma prob'ly woulda washed out my ears with soap for listening to it, even at low volume... Maybe your Gran is way cooler than mine and she turned you on to it. For maximum fun you'll probably want to crank it up a little... (Sometimes the words are kinda hard to catch.)

Time to Go Home Time to Go Home
Yup, I'm now officially on track to buy the complete Julia Shapiro collection...
  4. Connect With The Couch
    by The Total Bettys

    No Kings No Kings
"No Kings" was an instant favorite. I've been playing this album over and over for days. I skip breakfast and pretend I haven't heard it for ages just so I can listen again, and bop around the block some more.
  5. Lizzie No Folkadelphia Session 5/6/2017
    by Lizzie No
    00:00/00:00
    Monuments Monuments
Wow, what a gorgeous voice, with clear and lovely renditions... I'm really grateful to Folkadelphia for giving us this recording. If you enjoy Lizzie's voice as much as I do, you'll want it as a companion to the other recording that contains these (and more) of her songs.
  6. Lydia Loveless Folkadelphia Session 9/25/2014
    by Lydia Loveless
    00:00/00:00
To Love Somebody To Love Somebody
Totally unplugged and acoustic, these arrangements are quite different from much of her other work.
  7. I Used to Spend So Much Time Alone
    by Chastity Belt
    00:00/00:00
    Different Now Different Now
This represents an incredible evolution from their "rough" first recordings. They've applied loads of polish over the years. I can't stop listening to them. Probably my favorite track is "Complain", but for some reason this wonky interface won't let me choose that in the pull-down, so you'll just have to take my word for it.

Listening to this album feels like taking a kitchen tour with a little film crew to document the inspiring piles of colorful and exotic, but still raw, ingredients that would be whipped into the marvelous "haute cuisine" of Leah Wellbaum's most recent releases.

I'll Fix It I'll Fix It
They will totally fix whatever that thing is that's bugging you, and you'll find yourself playing it again. This has become one of my go-to albums and I'm glad it's on MP3 not vinyl 'cause I'd have worn it out by now.
  13. YOUNG
    by Overcoats
    00:00/00:00
Hold Me Close Hold Me Close
The vocal blend is so outstanding... Listen. Gush. Repeat.
  14. Overcoats - Audiotree Live
    by Overcoats
    00:00/00:00
    Walk On Walk On
The emergent timbre created by the blended voices of Hana & JJ is uncommonly rich and beautiful. Don't miss it.

This music is so bouncy and fun, with amusing lyrics...

The Game (YouTube version) The Game (YouTube version)
Just the other day I was thinking it would be great to have a collection of these Youtube tunes in one album... And then as if by magic, this collection appeared... Seems to include all of the singles released here, and maybe more...
  17. Everyone Else
    by SLOTHRUST

So many great tunes... Hard to choose just one. It's a whole bowlful of faves... Probably best-to-date rendition of Rotten Pumpkin.

Verlaine Shot Rimbaud Verlaine Shot Rimbaud
If Verlaine hadn't shot Rimbaud, I'd halfway want to go back in time and make sure it happened just so LL could write this song like 150 years later...

Yeah... Meg Duffy got herself onto my "buy-on-sight" list... That's a select company, btw.

    by Tight Eye
    00:00/00:00
    Orbiter Orbiter
In a slightly dark, exotic voice, Giulia Bonometti delivers her lyrics with remarkable clarity.
  40. WWNBB#086 - They Come / They Go
    by Skelets On Me
    00:00/00:00
Nowhere Is Her Place Nowhere Is Her Place
Listen, and then read the artist's blog about this recording. The rendition of "Hurdy Gurdy Man" exemplifies mysterious and serendipitous effects of long fermentation upon a classic Donovan song that was left undisturbed for a couple of generations.
