The album is a fine evolution of where they've gone in the past several years - the band, the production, the fit of everything just meshes in a way that makes everything else work better together and make more sense.
Ivy Silence stretches her distinctive vocals without being strained - I didn't expect this level of depth and evolution at this point after the other albums. Not saying it wasn't right for those songs, but here...she's fluid, surprising, and consistently on point.
