    Harmonix Harmonix
A first glance would suggest I might have a soft spot for any kind of music that alludes to surf. That's a coincidence. I stumbled upon this through an episode of Fear The Walking Dead. The whole album is great. It fits right into what I like to listen to most of the time. Favorite track is Harmonix but that might change any day
  19. Callisto

Following The Scene Following The Scene
The voice may not vary greatly, but the music more than compensates
  20. Adina
    by Murals
    00:00/00:00
A quiet piece representative of the album.
  21. Amen & Goodbye
    by Yeasayer
    00:00/00:00
I Am Chemistry I Am Chemistry
Restricting myself to commenting on my favorite track, you MUST watch the video with the recreational drug of your choice before letting the other songs permeate your ear core. And it helps to have a lyric sheet and dictionary to get through the Faustian? storyline.
  22. Rattling Jar
    by TW Walsh
    00:00/00:00
The word play is good. The mood, however, may engulf you deeper than you want to be. For me, the ambiance is serene enough to be comfortable.
  23. My Little Brother
    by TW Walsh
    00:00/00:00
"But he never broke a promise
    That he couldn't replace"

That line should be enough to make you want to check this guy out.
  24. Song Spells, No. 1: Cedarsmoke
    by Sea Wolf
    00:00/00:00
    Bavarian Porcelain Bavarian Porcelain
Sea Wolf music has a haunting quality with a maintained integrity throughout. Bavarian Porcelain perhaps reflects this best, though Bergamot Morning is equally representative. Then again, Young Bodies and Water's Wide would be my choice on any different day.
  25. Better Man or Ghost
    by Logan Vath
    00:00/00:00
    Luxury Plot Luxury Plot
A natural songwriter with a kick ass voice to boot. The imagery of a leafless fall forest or a ghostly canoe drifting down an exhausted swamp augments the mood for a string of acoustic songs hand delivered with affection. Wander through the prose of Luxury Plot.

    00:00/00:00
    Desert Island Desert Island
  27. Full Moon EP
    by Mansions On The Moon
    00:00/00:00
    Full Moon Full Moon
I can only imagine myself sitting on the porch of my cabin on a pure airless night, gazing at the sapphire orb of Full Earth and thinking
"You are the best day of my life"
  28. Drive
    by Ainslie Wills
    00:00/00:00
Never fly into Las Vegas. Drive into Vegas at night from the north on the I 15 with this song on your mind. If you're lucky and its summer, roll the windows down and feel the zombie desert weather challenge your destiny.
  29. Trees & Their Leaves
    by The Black Harrys
    00:00/00:00
Just listen to this voice. No vocal tuning. It is authentic. Such a refreshing treat. And the harmonies are perfect.
  30. The Black Harrys
    by The Black Harrys
    00:00/00:00
    Another Day Another Day
Over 2 years later and this is still a favorite, but I'm starting to worry about the lack of a followup. Come on guys.
  31. Keep On Loving You
    by Cigarettes After Sex
    00:00/00:00
A song is shackled to its author for better or worse, particularly when that author is also the performer. Cigarettes After Sex have liberated an old MOR favorite from its master and turned it into a lounge number that seduces the individual.
  32. Grown Apart
    by AFRAKITE
    00:00/00:00
There is an isolationism of the soul that permeates the words and sounds recently(?) coming out of Quebec. A persuasive loneliness that is not comforting but compelling.
  33. SRiD
    by Surf Rock is Dead
    00:00/00:00
Never Be the Same Never Be the Same
in 2009 The Drums released "Let's Go Surfing". In 2015, SRiD continue in style with Twee? Pop music, which may or may not be surf but fits comfortably in that atmosphere.
  34. Monsters at War
    by Elliot Maginot
    00:00/00:00
There is a romanticism in French Canadian culture that, blending so seamlessly into the rest of the country, it gives Canada its spirit. Elliot Maginot takes 2 languages and unites us.
  35. Blue Moth
    by Zachary Cale
    00:00/00:00
The simple songs can carry the deepest reflections. They make you forget the bad day you had.
  36. You're A Wolf
    by Sea Wolf
    00:00/00:00
One of those songs I keep returning to like a fond memory.

  37. After Hours 7"
    by Ablebody
    00:00/00:00
    After Hours After Hours
Reminiscent of Wire Train, this song wires easily into your brain while the video compliments on many levels. Yet it's not retro. It's evolution.
