A wonderful album packed to the gills with inventiveness, humour and melody. Canterbury prog meets 10cc in a summery field for frolics which we can all enjoy!
If you're familiar with Sufjan Stevens' previous albums, whose entrancing cyclical rhythms and melodies were brilliant but samey, then this album will surprise and please. Repeated listens recommended
Sebastien Tellier, alongside Daft Punk & Air amongst others, produces 70s inflected organic electro pop, but he differs in that a wry streak of sardonic humour runs throughout his crafted pop music.
