This one feels a bit light and breezy compared to the thick distorted guitars on Marble Son--more of a traditional folk sound but still draped in her hypnotic midnight howls. Looking forward to the new album in full and a tour that comes down the coast from Seattle to the Mojave desert of California for a stint at Pappy and Harriet's Pioneertown Palace.

My god... I don't know how it took fate so long to allow me to discover Jesse Sykes and the Sweet Hereafter. Her voice soars like a raven above a desert sky channeling ghosts from the ether and the instrumentation is nothing short of epic. Hoping they play a show at Pappy and Harriet's in the high Mojave desert of California!

Every song on this album is utterly captivating and a moody alternative folk rock epic... Every single one. This album should have made Jesse and her band famous way back in the mid 2000s. I would love to see them do a retrospective tour now playing this album in full. It's almost impossible for me to pick just one song as my favorite... If you buy only one album from Jesse this is the one to get...

My god this is a masterpiece... Captivating and very original brooding melodies and vocals that ride on each others peaks beautifully. Take a trip into a world that merges Portishead and Tricky with darkwave undertones in a really unique way. I honestly think this is going to be the best selling album Projekt has ever released. Sam's nose for stellar talent has only grown more sharp...

There are certain artists that seem to come from left field into your universe like a lightning bolt... I can't believe it took over 30 years for "Area" and "The Moon Seven Times" to find me... A really interesting and original blend of ethereal, dream-pop and alternative-rock with subtle gothic-rock undertones. "One Desire" sounds like it could be the theme song for a 1980s cult film. They manage to be mysterious and captivating while at the same time unpretentious.

This is a beautifully stark yet hypnotic track by Gunn and Vile. I've been a fan of Gunn for a while but not Vile. That's been changing this week tho... Vile's work has been growing on me big time.

I didn't warm up to all the songs on "Warm Chris" but Fever and a few others are tops. Love Hannah's vocal phrasing on Fever it melds so dynamically with the melody. And this one is somewhat uptempo! Hannah wrote a happy song for Aldous to sing!

Hannah keeps her whip quite leathery and sharp--this one cracks hard like her dry wit... LOVE IT!
