Death from Above Death from Above
The final track, Death From Above, is really where this album shines. It feels like a Carpenter Brut track with its hard hitting bass manic melody, slow down section, and ramp into a guitar blasting lasers of bullets into a steel frame. This track is what elevates the rest of the material. The song burns slow, but it needs to.
  3. House of Stairs

    Veil Veil
The recording and mixing are impeccable. Warm bass tones and sparkling vocals and cymbals. As recorders and performers, A+ perfection all around. The real piano and Rhodes-like electric piano layer very well in every track they are paired in. Bass clarinet and saxophone make an appearance. Everything is tastefully spaced out.
  4. Disassociation
    by Electronic Warbear
    Crossing Crossing
With flashes of the FTL: Faster Than Light soundtrack being reminiscent at its heights, Disassociation by Electronic Warbear will at times reward you for your patience to allow a song to progress. At other points it seems like there is a clear lack of editorial oversight and can take the listener's patience for granted.
  5. Accidental Villainy

    Accidental Villainy Accidental Villainy
One of the strangest EPs I've ever heard in my life. It gets real weird, shreddy, borderline out of control, and shows moments of absolute brilliance in an alternating balancing act all in under eight minutes.
  6. The Ballad

    Monday Morning 6 A.M Monday Morning 6 A.M
Solitaire Lounge's The Ballad is the gutsy, first submission to ReadAux. The storyline element within the album is cheeky, comical, and fun. Unfortunately, I take issue with some of the lead line and rhythm composition.
