I have been growing up on Klaus Schulze's music almost all of my adult life. In his younger years, "Silhouettes" would have more likely served as a sort of pastoral prelude to the more pounding pyrotechnics of his youthfully vigorous synthesizer. Here it is a prelude to nothing but itself, encurled in the ecstacy of a life facing death, sufficient in and of itself until the very end.
